Christopher Markou researches the impact of technology on the legal system, and writes, speaks, and advises on various technology issues.
His Leverhulme Trust research project “Artificial Intelligence and Legal Evolution” examines how artificial intelligence and digital technologies are changing the nature of legal practice, education and challenging the normative foundations and autonomy of the law.
His forthcoming book, Lex Ex Machina, explores the limit of the law’s computing power and how the “rule of law” is being subverted by a new “rule of technology.”
